MECHANICAL CHARACTERISTICS DESIGNED FOR PERFORMANCE
 

A broad range of PVC Geomembrane thickness allows the choice of material with your required mechanical properties. Special needs are served by Barrier Solutions, Inc. custom manufacturing program where products are designed and constructed to the BSI customer's specification and requirements. BSI Geomembrane is elastic at any grade or thickness manufactured. Highly elastic products also have excellent puncture and abrasion resistance. The high modulus of elasticity of BSI Geomembrane assures that the original properties of the material are retained when the membrane is stretched and relaxed, insuring that there is no change in the thickness.

DURABILITY

Composition, quality of materials, process parameters, and repeatable, precise technology assure BSI Geomembrane's durability. Our proven record of application shows that BSI Geomembranes exceed industry standards for the most durable membranes. BSI Geomembrane can be seamed by any standard seaming method (high frequency, hot element or solvent welding, Etc.) Which does not limit installation routines. Both factory and in-field seaming are very efficient, dependable and cost effective. Reliable seaming may be achieved with no special equipment and only simple tools.

EXCELLENT PANEL FOLDING PROPERTIES
 
Highly flexible, abrasion resistant BSI Geomembrane, formed with durable seams can be transported accordion folded. This property allows the fabrication of large panels in a controlled factory environment. Seams made in a factory are more durable and cost effective. Use of large panels saves installation time and cost.

CHEMICAL RESISTANCE

ENVIRONMENTAL CRACKING AND SHRINK RESISTANCE

BSI Geomembranes composition and regime of fabrication eliminates formation of internal stress in the membrane. A fairly low and stable degree of crystallinity renders material resistant to environmental stress crazing and cracking. Excellent dimensional stability and thermal resistance are other important features of BSI Geomembrane.
